Norwegian club Bodø/Glimt, known for its strong performances in European football, has officially signed 24-year-old Danish striker Mathias Jorgensen. The talented forward has agreed to a four-year contract, making a move from Danish club AaB to join the team that recently reached the Europa League semi-finals.
🤝 A New Chapter for Jorgensen
Mathias Jorgensen expressed his excitement about joining the Norwegian champions. “It’s lovely, I’ve been looking forward to it,” he said. “I was really happy when I got the message, and I’m ready to start right away.” He praised Bodø/Glimt as a “fantastic big club” that has achieved great success in recent years, noting that it is a well-managed club in every way.
⚽ What He Brings to the Team
When asked about his playing style, Jorgensen described himself as a versatile attacker who can play in any forward position. “I see myself mostly as a winger,” he explained. “I like to use my physical package, and I’m also good at running deep.” His combination of strength and speed will add a new dynamic to Bodø/Glimt’s attack as they prepare for upcoming challenges.
📈 A Proven Goalscorer
Jorgensen comes to Norway with an impressive track record. During his time at AaB, which he joined from Esbjerg fB in February 2024, he scored 27 goals and provided nine assists in just 52 official matches. His consistent performance and ability to find the back of the net made him a key player and captain for his former team.
👍 A Win-Win Transfer
The move is seen as a positive step for all parties involved. AaB’s CEO, Michael Tuxen Boll, acknowledged Jorgensen’s significant contributions, calling him a “big profile” for the club. He added that the transfer agreement was reached after “good and respectful negotiations” and that it helps fulfill Jorgensen’s dream of playing in the Champions League, an opportunity Bodø/Glimt can provide.
