Napoli clinched a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Pisa at home, continuing their perfect start to the Serie A season. The match was an exciting back-and-forth contest, with substitute Lorenzo Lucca scoring his first goal for the club and Pisa netting a late consolation that ensured a tense finish.

As the defending champions, Napoli showed their quality by finding ways to score crucial goals, extending their winning streak to four games. Leonardo Spinazzola was a standout performer, contributing both a goal and an assist. However, newly-promoted Pisa proved to be a tough opponent, showing they can challenge top teams by fighting back to level the score and keeping the pressure on until the final whistle.

⚽️ Napoli Break the Deadlock

After a cautious start from both sides, Napoli began to increase the pressure. The breakthrough came in the 39th minute when Leonardo Spinazzola set up Billy Gilmour on the edge of the box. Gilmour took a touch before his powerful shot deflected past the goalkeeper, giving the home side a 1-0 lead just before halftime.

⚖️ Pisa’s Determined Response

Pisa came out strong in the second half, and their efforts paid off. They were awarded a penalty after a handball was called against Sam Beukema inside the box. M’Bala Nzola stepped up and confidently converted the spot-kick, sending it down the middle to make the score 1-1 and set up an exciting final 25 minutes.

Napoli responded like champions. Spinazzola restored their lead with a brilliant finish into the bottom corner. With just eight minutes left, substitute Lorenzo Lucca scored his first goal for the club, firing a pass from Scott McTominay into the roof of the net to make it 3-1. Although Pisa’s Lorran scored in stoppage time to narrow the gap, Napoli held on to secure the three points and extend their impressive unbeaten home run.
