A major change is happening at Monza, as long-time chief executive Adriano Galliani has announced he is leaving the club. This news comes as the sale of the club to a new ownership group has been officially completed, marking the end of a significant era for the team.
Galliani’s departure signals a complete transition for Monza. The leadership of Silvio Berlusconi and Galliani famously brought the club to Serie A for the first time in its history. Now, with new owners Beckett Layne Ventures (BLV) taking control, the club is set to move in a new direction.
👋 A New Chapter for Galliani
Adriano Galliani explained that his decision to leave was a difficult one. He wants to focus on other activities and, more importantly, give the new owners the freedom to implement their own vision for the club. He expressed pride in fulfilling the late president Silvio Berlusconi’s dream of guiding Monza to Italy’s top football league, a historic achievement for the team.
🤝 Monza Welcomes New Ownership
The club’s ownership has now officially changed hands. A statement from Fininvest, the former parent company, confirmed that Beckett Layne Ventures (BLV) has acquired an 80% stake in Monza. Fininvest will hold the remaining 20% for now but plans to sell it to BLV by June 2026. This completes the transfer of control to the new group.
🏆 The End of an Era
This transition marks the end of the Berlusconi family’s involvement with Monza, which began in 2019. Under their leadership, the club experienced a remarkable rise, culminating in its first-ever promotion to Serie A. Galliani’s departure closes this successful chapter in the club’s history, paving the way for a new phase under BLV’s management.
