After his second serious knee injury, Eder Militao confessed that many thoughts went through his mind, including whether to stop playing professionally. “I thought about leaving football because it’s not easy,” he explained before Brazil’s match against South Korea.

🤕 Two Major Injuries

The 27-year-old’s troubles began with an ACL injury in his left knee during the 2023–24 season, which kept him off the pitch for 214 days. He then suffered a similar injury to his right knee last season, leading to another long recovery period of 234 days.

Militao shared that the support from his loved ones was crucial during his recovery. He credited his wife, daughter, and teammates for giving him the strength to continue. “With the help of my wife, my daughter and my teammates, I’m here today to play well,” he said. His return is a testament to their encouragement and his own resilience.
