LaLiga's Next Breakout Stars to Watch

The 2025/26 LALIGA EA SPORTS season kicks off on August 15th, bringing with it the excitement and drama that fans love. While established superstars will continue to grab headlines, every new season offers a chance for young players to step into the spotlight. These rising talents are eager to prove themselves and become the next big names in football.

This season, a number of gifted young players are perfectly positioned for a breakout year. Some are at major clubs looking for more playing time, while others have made new moves to showcase their skills. Here are five exciting prospects to watch as the campaign unfolds.

✨ Arda Güler (Real Madrid)

Arda Güler, a highly-rated Turkish midfielder, joined Real Madrid in 2023 but has had a relatively quiet start. After playing in 38 league games over two seasons, he is now expected to play a bigger role under new coach Xabi Alonso. Alonso has expressed his commitment to helping the 20-year-old develop. “It’s a time to invest in a process, in Arda’s development,” Alonso said. “We want him to gain experience, mature, and be able to make mistakes… if we want to have a strong Arda.”

🧤 Julen Agirrezabala (Valencia)

A promising goalkeeper from Athletic Club’s respected Lezama academy, Julen Agirrezabala has moved to Valencia on loan for the season. The 24-year-old has already shown his quality, helping his former team win the Copa del Rey in 2023/24. With Spain’s number one keeper, Unai Simón, ahead of him at Athletic, this move gives Agirrezabala the chance to be a regular starter and prove he has what it takes to succeed at the highest level.

🎯 Alberto Moleiro (Villarreal)

After an impressive season with UD Las Palmas, creative midfielder Alberto Moleiro has earned a move to Villarreal. Known for his excellent dribbling and ability to create chances, the 21-year-old is seen as a potential replacement for Álex Baena, who departed for Atlético de Madrid. Having already played 147 senior games for his previous club, Moleiro is ready to make a significant impact in Villarreal’s starting lineup.

⚽ Gonzalo García (Real Madrid)

Real Madrid may have found an answer to their attacking needs from within their own academy, La Fábrica. Gonzalo García, a 21-year-old striker, caught everyone’s attention during the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, where he finished as the top scorer with four goals. When Kylian Mbappé was out sick, García stepped up and earned a spot in the first team. He is expected to get more opportunities this season to show his finishing skills.

🏃‍♂️ Marc Pubill (Atlético de Madrid)

As part of their effort to bring in fresh talent, Atlético de Madrid has signed 21-year-old right-back Marc Pubill from UD Almería. Pubill was a key player for Spain’s U21 team and had a strong season in the second division, providing four assists. After establishing himself as a top full-back there, he now has the chance to prove his skills in LALIGA EA SPORTS with one of the league’s top clubs.
