Wolves Boss Explains Strand Larsen's Injury Absence

⚽️ Wolves recently faced a home defeat against Everton, and many noticed that striker Jorgen Strand Larsen was not part of the squad. This absence quickly caught attention, especially with strong transfer rumors linking him to Newcastle ahead of the upcoming deadline. However, Wolves manager Vitor Pereira has now provided a clear explanation, dismissing transfer speculation.

🏥 Manager Explains Injury Origin

🤕 Manager Vitor Pereira confirmed the reason for Strand Larsen’s unavailability. He explained that the player received a kick during the game against Bournemouth. Despite trying to train afterward, Strand Larsen continued to experience pain.

⚠️ Pereira further elaborated on the situation: “After we played with him around 25 minutes in the last game, and at the end of the game, the pain increased and the inflammation in the Achilles tendon was a danger.” He stressed that he could not risk playing a player in such a condition. Crucially, Pereira firmly denied that the absence had anything to do with Newcastle’s interest. “It was not about Newcastle, it was not about this,” he clarified.

💪 Player’s Character and Recovery Status

✨ Pereira added that Jorgen Strand Larsen is a player of “good character, strong character” who underwent an examination that confirmed the Achilles injury. While the injury is not considered serious, it is a condition that currently prevents him from playing. The focus remains on his recovery.
