Brentford manager Thomas Frank has shared a view that many Tottenham fans would agree with, saying he would be happy to see star striker Harry Kane return to the club someday. Speaking ahead of a cup match, Frank, who is a Tottenham supporter himself, openly expressed his admiration for the player and the idea of his return.
🗣️ A Welcome Return?
Thomas Frank made it clear that a player of Kane’s quality would always be welcome back at Tottenham. “There’s a lot of Tottenham fans including myself who would like to see Kane back,” he said. He added that if Kane ever decided to rejoin the team, “he’s more than welcome.” This sentiment highlights the deep connection that Kane still has with his former club and its supporters, even from the manager of a rival team.
⚽ Kane’s Success in Germany
Despite his personal wish, Frank remains realistic about the situation. He doesn’t expect Kane to leave Bayern Munich anytime soon, noting the striker’s incredible success in Germany. “Personally, I don’t think he will do it right now,” Frank explained. He pointed out that Kane was the top scorer last season, won the championship, and is continuing to perform at a very high level, suggesting he will likely want to continue his journey with the German club for a while longer.
🤔 The Future for Kane
Looking ahead, Kane’s contract includes a buyout clause that could allow him to leave next summer for a reported €60 million. By then, he will be 33 and entering the final year of his deal. Frank suggested that Kane might be enjoying the experience of living and playing in a different country after spending so many years in England. “He’s been here for many years so why not enjoy the time at Bayern a little bit more,” he commented, showing understanding for Kane’s career choices.
