Man City Closer to Signing Donnarumma from PSG

Talks between Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) over goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma are moving forward, as PSG has reportedly lowered its asking price. This development could pave the way for the Italian star’s move to the Premier League and trigger other changes in the teams’ lineups.

💰 PSG More Flexible on Transfer Fee

Initially, PSG was asking for €50 million for Donnarumma. However, they are now said to be willing to accept a lower fee in the range of €30-35 million. This significant price reduction makes the deal much more likely to happen, as it meets Manchester City’s expectations more closely.

🧤 A New Number One for City

If the transfer goes through, Donnarumma is expected to become Manchester City’s first-choice goalkeeper. City has reportedly already agreed on personal terms with the player, indicating that both sides are keen to finalize the move. This shows City’s intent to bring in a top-tier replacement for their current goalkeeper.

🔄 Changes in the Goalkeeper Lineup

Donnarumma’s arrival would lead to other changes. The club’s current number one, Ederson, is expected to be sold to Turkish club Galatasaray. Meanwhile, James Trafford, who recently returned to City from Burnley, is set to become the new backup goalkeeper, supporting Donnarumma.
