Get expert advice on which players to start and who to keep on the bench for the upcoming week's games.
Your Week 4 Fantasy Basketball Start/Sit Guide

Welcome to your guide for Week 4 of fantasy basketball! This week, the schedule is split, with 15 teams playing a busy four-game schedule and others playing fewer. This creates great opportunities to get the most out of your roster. Additionally, injuries to key players around the league have allowed other talented athletes to step up and shine, making them smart picks for your team.

Here’s a look at some players you should consider starting or sitting this week. We’re focusing on players who might be tougher decisions, helping you make the right call to win your matchups.

🗓️ Teams with Four Games: Hawks, Hornets, Cavaliers, Mavericks, Warriors, Clippers, Lakers, Bucks, Pelicans, Magic, Suns, Trail Blazers, Kings, Spurs, Jazz

🏀 Guards

Start: Stephon Castle, Spurs Castle is having a fantastic start to his second season, showing improvement in nearly every area. He is averaging impressive numbers in points, assists, rebounds, and steals. While his three-point shooting could be better, he plays a lot of minutes and has been a consistent performer. With the Spurs playing four games this week, Castle is a reliable choice who can help your fantasy team in many different ways.

Start: Grayson Allen, Suns With his teammate Jalen Green recently injured, Grayson Allen has a chance to play a bigger role for the Suns. Allen has been a very consistent player this season, scoring well and contributing assists and steals. He is also an excellent three-point shooter. If Green misses more time, Allen will likely get more opportunities to shoot, making him a valuable player for your lineup, especially during a four-game week.

Sit: LaMelo Ball, Hornets LaMelo Ball is dealing with a troublesome ankle injury that has already caused him to miss games. He is confirmed to be out for at least the first game of Week 4, and there’s a chance he could miss more. With the risk of him playing only two games at best, it’s safer to keep him on your bench this week until he is fully healthy.

🚀 Forwards

Start: Jerami Grant, Trail Blazers Grant looks refreshed and is playing very efficiently this season for the Trail Blazers. Even though he often comes off the bench, he is shooting the ball extremely well and has career-high numbers in three-point percentage and steals. He gets enough playing time to make a significant impact, making him a solid forward to start, especially with a full four-game schedule ahead.

Start: Kon Knueppel, Hornets This rookie has been impressive, earning a starting spot with the Hornets through his strong play. With teammates LaMelo Ball and Miles Bridges dealing with injuries, Knueppel has stepped up his game significantly. He has been scoring a lot, grabbing rebounds, and is not shy about shooting three-pointers. His aggressive style means he’s likely to continue putting up great all-around numbers.

Sit: Zion Williamson, Pelicans Williamson is another star player currently sidelined by an injury. He has already missed several games with a hamstring issue and will be out for the start of Week 4. Given the tricky nature of this type of injury and his past health concerns, it is uncertain when he will return. It’s best to be cautious and keep him on your bench until we have a clear update on his status.

🛡️ Centers

Start: Mark Williams, Suns Williams is really finding his rhythm as the Suns’ main center. He has been putting up strong numbers recently, especially in scoring and rebounding, and is also contributing steals. While he doesn’t shoot three-pointers, his performance in other areas is improving. With four games this week, including some favorable matchups, Williams is in a great position to have a productive week.

Start: Onyeka Okongwu, Hawks Okongwu has been a steady and reliable player for the Hawks, especially with key teammates Trae Young and Jalen Johnson out with injuries. He contributes consistently in points and rebounds and gets plenty of minutes on the court. With the Hawks playing four games this week, Okongwu is an excellent choice to add to your starting lineup for solid production.
