Trae Young Sidelined 4 Weeks With Knee Injury

The Atlanta Hawks will be without their star player for the next month, as an MRI has confirmed that Trae Young suffered a sprained medial collateral ligament (MCL) in his right knee. The injury occurred during a game against Brooklyn earlier in the week.

🤕 A Major Blow for the Hawks

The team officially announced that the reigning NBA assist champion is expected to miss at least four weeks. The diagnosis came after Young underwent an MRI exam, which revealed the extent of the ligament sprain. This is a significant setback for the Hawks, who rely heavily on his scoring and playmaking abilities.

✅ Relief Amidst Concern

While any injury is concerning, there was some good news from the medical report. The MRI showed no additional structural damage to Young’s knee, and the team had already ruled out any issues with his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). This means the injury, while serious enough to keep him off the court, could have been much worse.

💪 The Road to Recovery

Young has already started his rehabilitation process to get back on the court as soon as possible. The Hawks stated that he will be re-evaluated in about four weeks to check on his recovery progress. In his absence, the team will need other players to step up to fill the void left by their All-Star point guard.
