As the NBA 2K26 Summer League in Las Vegas approaches its final stages, Friday’s consolation games offered a crucial platform for players aiming to prove their worth. For those on two-way contracts or fighting for a spot on an NBA roster, these games were a final opportunity to impress the team executives and scouts in attendance. Several players seized this chance, delivering standout performances that caught everyone’s attention.
🎯 Lewis Hits His Mark for Dallas
While much of the talk around the Mavericks this summer has focused on No. 1 pick Cooper Flagg, Maxwell Lewis made a name for himself on Friday. He led all scorers with 18 points in a dominant 92-69 victory over the Magic. Lewis was incredibly efficient, making all four of his three-point attempts and shooting 7-for-10 from the field overall. His sharpshooting helped Dallas build an early lead that they never lost.
💪 Armstrong’s Strong Drive for Philadelphia
Mark Armstrong provided a major spark off the bench for the 76ers, leading them to an 87-83 comeback win against the Nets. The 6-foot-2 guard was aggressive all game, repeatedly driving to the basket to score 23 points. He shot 7-for-16 from the field and was effective at the free-throw line, making 7 of his 9 attempts. Armstrong also contributed on the boards, pulling down seven rebounds in a strong all-around effort.
🛡️ Goldin Dominates the Paint for Miami
Vladislav Goldin, a 7-foot-1 center on a two-way contract with the Heat, showed his value in a close game against the Bucks. Goldin was a force inside, recording an impressive double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds. He also protected the rim effectively, blocking four shots. His powerful presence in the paint was a key factor in Miami securing a narrow one-point victory.
⚡ Chicago’s Dynamic Guard Duo
The Bulls’ backcourt duo of Javon Freeman-Liberty and Yuki Kawamura was simply too much for the Jazz to handle in a 105-92 Chicago win. Starting guard Freeman-Liberty did a bit of everything, finishing with 22 points, nine rebounds, six assists, two steals, and two blocks. Coming off the bench, Kawamura had a spectacular game, scoring 20 points—including six three-pointers—and dishing out 10 assists for a fantastic double-double.
