The National Basketball Association (NBA) has announced a new feature called “Tap to Watch,” which will launch with the 2025-26 season. This initiative is designed to make it much simpler for fans to find and access live NBA games directly from the apps and websites they use every day.
The main goal of “Tap to Watch” is convenience. Instead of searching for which channel or streaming service is showing a game, this feature will provide a direct link to the live broadcast, taking the guesswork out of watching basketball.
📱 How It Works
With “Tap to Watch,” when you see a game mentioned on the NBA App, a team’s website, or even on social media, you can simply tap on it to be taken straight to the live video feed. This will work for national games on major platforms like ABC/ESPN, NBC/Peacock, and Prime Video, as well as most local game broadcasts.
✨ A Seamless Experience for Fans
This new tool aims to create a smooth and easy viewing journey. “We’re proud to collaborate with our partners… to make live games more accessible for our fans with Tap to Watch,” said Chris Benyarko, an NBA executive. He explained that whether you’re browsing social media or checking scores, you’ll know exactly where to watch and get there instantly.
🌐 Where to Find It
The “Tap to Watch” feature will be integrated across the NBA’s digital world, including the official NBA App, NBA.com, and all team apps and websites. It will also be available through major partners like Google, Meta, X, Snap, and Reddit. More platforms, including sports-related apps like FanDuel and Yahoo Sports, are expected to be added throughout the season.
