🎉 Get Ready for Tip-Off: 2025-26 NBA Schedule Unveiled!

Basketball fans, mark your calendars! The NBA has officially released the complete schedule for the exciting 2025-26 season, which marks the league’s 80th year. The action kicks off on October 21st with a highly anticipated opening night. Reigning Kia MVP and NBA Finals MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Thunder will celebrate their 2024-25 championship by raising their banner and receiving their rings, right before they host Kevin Durant and the new-look Rockets in what promises to be an electrifying start to the season.

🏆 Introducing the Emirates NBA Cup: A New Challenge

This season brings an exciting new element: the Emirates NBA Cup 2025. This tournament will significantly influence the regular season schedule. From October 31st to November 28th, teams will battle it out in Group Play games, all held on special “Cup Nights.” Following this, the Knockout Rounds will feature single-elimination games, including Quarterfinals (December 9-10), Semifinals (December 13), and the Championship game on December 16th. This new format adds extra stakes and excitement to the early part of the season.

🧩 How the Cup Affects Your Team’s Schedule

Each team will play 82 regular-season games, but 80 of these have defined dates and opponents. The remaining two games for each team, scheduled between December 9th and December 15th, will be determined by the results of the Emirates NBA Cup Group Play. Teams that don’t qualify for the Knockout Rounds or are eliminated early will play regular-season games during the tournament’s off-nights to complete their 82-game slate. This dynamic schedule means every game counts, even outside of traditional playoffs!
