Get ready for an exciting event during WNBA All-Star 2025 in Indianapolis! The WNBA, NBA, and FIBA are teaming up to host the third Basketball Without Borders (BWB) Global women’s camp from July 17-19. This special event will bring together 40 of the best high school-age female basketball players from outside the U.S. for three days of elite training and development.
📋 Expert Coaching and Skill Development
The young athletes will learn from an impressive group of current and former basketball stars. The coaching staff includes Georgia Amoore of the Mystics, two-time NCAA champion Tonya Edwards, and Kelly Faris. They will be joined by former WNBA All-Star Allison Feaster, who will serve as the camp director. The camp’s schedule is packed with activities like skill drills, 5-on-5 games, and three-point contests. Participants will also attend leadership sessions and get to watch the 2025 AT&T WNBA All-Star Game. The camp is supported by Nike, which will provide apparel and shoes for all attendees.
🌟 A Platform for Future Stars
This camp is more than just training; it’s a major opportunity for players to showcase their talent. For the second year in a row, the camp will be open to WNBA scouts and NCAA coaches, giving participants a direct path to future opportunities. At last year’s event, this exposure was highly successful, with 34 campers receiving scholarship offers from NCAA Division I universities. This highlights the camp’s role as an important platform for launching professional and collegiate careers.
🏆 A Legacy of Developing Talent
Basketball Without Borders has a long and successful history of developing global talent. Since 2001, the program has involved over 4,600 participants from 144 countries. Its impact is clear, with 142 former campers being drafted or signed by NBA and WNBA teams. The WNBA currently features 15 former BWB participants, including stars like Ezi Magbegor (Storm), Aaliyah Edwards (Mystics), and Kamilla Cardoso (Sky), proving the program is a key pathway for international players to reach the highest level of the sport.
