EuroBasket 2025 continues to deliver thrilling basketball action! Day 6 saw Montenegro secure a crucial victory against Sweden, keeping their hopes alive for the knockout stage. Meanwhile, powerhouse teams like Serbia, Turkey, and Germany extended their perfect runs, dominating their respective groups with impressive performances.

These results paint a clearer picture of who’s advancing to the next round. Montenegro’s resilience was key, showcasing how every game matters in the competitive group phase. The consistent dominance of Serbia, Turkey, and Germany highlights their strong contention for the title, setting up potentially thrilling matchups in the later stages of the tournament.

🏀 Montenegro’s Crucial Comeback

Chicago Bulls center Nikola Vučević was the star for Montenegro, leading them to a vital 87-81 win over Sweden. Vučević had an impressive performance in Tampere, Finland, contributing 23 points, 15 rebounds, and four assists. After trailing briefly in the third quarter following Sweden’s strong 31-24 run, Montenegro fought back with determination. Kyle Allman stepped up with 10 points in under two minutes, helping his team regain the lead and secure their first tournament win, which keeps their dream of reaching the Round of 16 alive. Pelle Larsson led Sweden with 28 points.

✨ Undefeated Teams Shine Bright

Several top teams continued their dominant form. Serbia remained unbeaten, easily defeating the Czech Republic 82-60 and eliminating them from playoff contention. With Nikola Jovic, Nikola Jokic, and Nikola Milutinov (who had 12 points, 7 rebounds, 2 steals) leading the charge, Serbia started strong with a 27-5 first period. This victory also guaranteed Latvia a spot in the Round of 16. Germany also kept its perfect record in Group B, overpowering Britain 120-57. Franz Wagner recorded an impressive 18 points and 10 assists in just 18 minutes, and Tristan Da Silva added 25 points for the Germans.

🏆 Knockout Stage Hopes Intensify

Turkey, already qualified from Group A, effortlessly beat Estonia 84-64. Houston Rockets center Alperen Sengun once again played a decisive role for Turkey, contributing 21 points, eight rebounds, and five assists. This marks the first time since 2009 that Turkey has achieved four wins in a single EuroBasket tournament. Montenegro now needs another victory against winless Britain, arguably the weakest team in their group, to secure their qualification. The group phase, featuring 24 teams across four different countries, will see the top four from each group advance to the knockout phase in Riga, Latvia, from September 6-14. Turkey and Serbia are now set to battle it out for the top spot in their group.
