Olympiacos Close to Signing Guard Frank Ntilikina

Greek basketball club Olympiacos is reportedly close to signing French guard Frank Ntilikina. This move comes as the team looks to strengthen its backcourt just before the start of the new EuroLeague season. The deal, which also involves Ntilikina’s current team Partizan, is said to be in its final stages.

The potential addition of Ntilikina would provide a significant boost for Olympiacos, especially on the defensive end. With his NBA experience and proven track record in Europe, he offers versatility and depth to a team aiming for a deep run in the competition.

🤝 A Deal Nearing Completion

According to reports, all parties—Olympiacos, Ntilikina, and Partizan—are in agreement, with only minor details left to be sorted out. The official announcement may be slightly delayed as Partizan is currently returning from a trip to Australia. However, it seems the transfer is expected to be completed soon.

🏀 Filling a Key Roster Spot

Olympiacos has been actively searching for a new guard, a need confirmed by head coach Giorgos Bartzokas. The urgency increased after Keenan Evans was sidelined with an injury. Ntilikina would join a talented guard lineup that already includes Evan Fournier, Thomas Walkup, Saben Lee, Tyler Dorsey, and Giannoulis Larentzakis, providing more depth as they prepare for their season opener.

🌟 A Versatile Two-Way Player

Ntilikina, 27, is known for his strong defensive skills and ability to play multiple positions in the backcourt. In his recent season with Partizan, he showed his value by averaging 7.0 points, 2.0 assists, and 1.7 rebounds per game in the EuroLeague. He was also an efficient shooter, making nearly 46% of his shots from the field and over 37% from three-point range.

🏆 Experienced at the Highest Levels

Ntilikina brings a wealth of experience. He was the eighth overall pick in the 2017 NBA draft and spent several years playing for the Knicks, Mavericks, and Hornets. On the international stage, he has been a key player for the French national team, winning two Olympic silver medals (2021 and 2024) and a bronze medal at the 2019 FIBA World Cup.
