Frank Ntilikina's planned move to Olympiacos has been called off due to a disagreement over a buyout fee.
Ntilikina to Stay at Partizan as Olympiacos Deal Fails

A planned transfer for French guard Frank Ntilikina from Partizan to Olympiacos has unexpectedly fallen through. Although both Ntilikina and Olympiacos had initially reached an agreement, negotiations between the two clubs have ended, and the player will now remain in Belgrade with Partizan for the upcoming season.

🔄 The Deal Collapsed Over a Buyout Fee

The main reason for the breakdown in talks was a financial disagreement. While an initial deal was in place for the transfer, Partizan requested a buyout fee of $300,000 to release Ntilikina from his contract. Olympiacos ultimately decided against paying this amount, which prompted Partizan to withdraw from the negotiations and keep the former 8th overall pick of the 2017 NBA Draft on their roster.

➡️ What’s Next for Both Teams?

With the deal off, Olympiacos must continue their search for a new guard. Head coach Giorgos Bartzokas has publicly stated that the team needs to strengthen this position, and they will now have to explore other options. The team is currently competing in the 2025 Greek SuperCup tournament. Meanwhile, Partizan will retain a key player in Ntilikina as they prepare for their own EuroLeague campaign.
