AS Monaco has strengthened its team by signing veteran Serbian guard Nemanja Nedovic to a one-year contract. The 34-year-old, who recently left Crvena Zvezda, brings a great deal of experience and scoring ability to the ambitious club.
This move shows Monaco’s continued commitment to competing for the EuroLeague title. For Nedovic, it is a chance to join a top team and pursue a championship, making it a promising partnership for both sides.
🎯 A Clear Goal to Win
Nedovic explained that Monaco was his top choice this summer. “I want to win, and I think that at Monaco, I have the best chance to do that,” he said. He was drawn to the opportunity to play with high-quality teammates and felt it was the best move for his career at this stage.
🤝 A Promising Partnership with a New Coach
A key factor in his decision was a conversation with Monaco’s new head coach, Vassilis Spanoulis. Nedovic was impressed by the coach’s passion and clear vision for the team. “He described the role I would have… I was really excited,” Nedovic shared. He added that he is looking forward to working with Spanoulis, who understands guards well from his own legendary playing career.
🏆 A Career Full of Experience
Nedovic is no stranger to top-level European basketball. He has played in 229 EuroLeague games for teams like Panathinaikos, Valencia, and Crvena Zvezda. He also won the EuroCup championship with Unicaja in 2017 and had a brief stay in the NBA, playing 25 games for the Warriors during the 2013-14 season.
