Monaco Bounces Back With Dominant Victory

Monaco delivered a powerful performance to defeat EuroLeague newcomer Dubai 103-81, making a strong statement after their opening day loss to Zalgiris. The home team showcased a balanced and impressive offense, with Nikola Mirotic leading the way. Meanwhile, ASVEL and Valencia also secured important victories in their respective matchups.

The key takeaway from Monaco’s win was their excellent team coordination. Six of their players scored ten or more points, reflecting a selfless playing style that overwhelmed Dubai. In contrast, Dubai struggled significantly with their shooting from beyond the arc, which was a major factor in their defeat.

🏀 Monaco’s Powerful Team Effort

Monaco was determined to get back on track, and they did so convincingly. Nikola Mirotic had an outstanding game with 19 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists. He was supported by five other teammates who also scored in double figures. Coach Vassilis Spanoulis expressed his satisfaction, saying, “We played smart and unselfish basketball.” For Dubai, Mfiondu Kabengele was the top scorer with 16 points, but the team’s overall poor three-point shooting (just 5-for-24) prevented them from keeping the game close.

🔥 ASVEL Secures First Victory

In another exciting game, ASVEL earned their first win of the season by defeating Baskonia 102-95. Zac Seljaas was the star for ASVEL, putting up an impressive 23 points. He received solid support from teammates Nando De Colo, Melvin Ajinça, David Lighty, Bodian Masa, and Mbaye Ndiaye. For Baskonia, Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot led his team’s effort with 18 points, while Markus Howard added 16.

🎉 Valencia Triumphs in New Arena

Valencia celebrated their second win of the season in style, defeating Virtus Bologna 103-94 in the very first game at their brand-new Roig Arena. Young talent Sergio De Larrea shone brightly with a 23-point performance. Omari Moore and Nate Reuvers also made significant contributions with 15 points each. On the visiting side, Matt Morgan was the top scorer with 24 points for the Italian team.
