Miikka Muurinen on Joining Partizan and His Future Goals

Young Finnish basketball star Miikka Muurinen has officially joined Partizan Mozzart Bet. He recently shared his first thoughts on the move, expressing his excitement to learn from one of Europe’s most famous coaches, Zeljko Obradovic, and his new teammates.

👋 A New Chapter in Serbia

Miikka Muurinen is excited about starting his journey with Partizan. He spoke about his conversations with coach Zeljko Obradovic, saying he received great advice. “I have the greatest coach of all time in Europe coaching me, giving me advice, great teammates to learn from,” Muurinen said. He sees this as a perfect opportunity to absorb as much knowledge as possible and improve his game.

🎯 A Strategic Move for the Future

For the 18-year-old, joining Partizan was a strategic decision to prepare for his future career. After a strong performance for Finland in EuroBasket 2025, he considered several options, including returning to high school in the United States. However, he believes that playing professionally in Europe with Partizan offers the best path to prepare for college basketball (NCAA) and his ultimate dream of playing in the NBA. “I’m definitely gonna get better here than in the States,” he explained.

🔥 Ready for the Big Stage

Muurinen is also looking forward to playing in front of Partizan’s passionate fans. After watching his new team play, he was impressed by the incredible atmosphere. “I just can’t wait to play in front of those fans,” he shared. He also mentioned that his natural position is small forward, although he has experience playing point guard. It is not yet known when he will make his official debut for the team.
