🌟 A Rising Star’s Journey

Markquis Nowell first gained attention during his time in US college basketball. Playing for Kansas State, he set an NCAA tournament record with an incredible 19 assists in a single game. His excellent performance earned him the Bob Cousy Award, which is given to the top point guard in college basketball. Although he was not selected in the 2023 NBA Draft, he signed a two-way contract with the Raptors, playing mostly for their G League affiliates.

🏀 What Nowell Brings to the Court

Nowell is known for his all-around skills and determined style of play. During the 2024-25 season in the G League, he put up impressive numbers, averaging 16.0 points, 8.5 assists, 3.1 rebounds, and 1.9 steals per game. 🤝 Fitting into the Baskonia Roster

Nowell will be joining a competitive Baskonia team that competes in both the prestigious EuroLeague and the highly-regarded Spanish Liga Endesa. He will share backcourt duties with other talented guards like Markus Howard, under the guidance of new head coach Paolo Galbiati. This move marks a new chapter for Nowell, giving him the chance to showcase his skills on one of the biggest stages in international basketball.
