It’s official: Danish guard Iffe Lundberg and Serbian club Partizan have agreed to go their separate ways. The Belgrade-based team confirmed the news, marking the end of the experienced player’s tenure with the club. This move allows Lundberg to explore new opportunities for his career.
👋 Parting on Good Terms
Partizan announced that both sides had mutually agreed to terminate the contract. In their official statement, the club thanked Lundberg for his contributions, especially for helping the team win the ABA League title in the 2024-25 season. They also extended their best wishes for his future endeavours.
🏀 A New Chapter Ahead
While his time with Partizan is over, Lundberg is not expected to be a free agent for long. It is widely believed that his next team will be Maccabi Tel Aviv, though the Israeli club has not yet made a formal announcement. Last season, Lundberg was a solid contributor, averaging 7.9 points and 3.0 assists per game in the EuroLeague.
sidelines
Despite having a contract that ran through the current 2025-26 season, Lundberg was not part of Partizan’s plans for this year. He had not played in any games, which made his departure an expected development. This move now opens the door for him to get back on the court with a new team.
