The city of Belgrade was filled with excitement as the second season of “Bouncing for Good” kicked off in a local primary school. The event, a special partnership between Motorola and Euroleague Basketball’s One Team program, brought together EuroLeague stars and local children for an inspiring day of fun, creativity, and basketball. The main takeaway was the powerful impact of using sport to teach valuable life lessons and strengthen community bonds.
🏀 A Day of Fun and Learning
The afternoon was packed with engaging activities for children aged 8 to 12. Guided by One Team coaches, the kids participated in interactive quizzes, team challenges, and creative games designed to promote teamwork, focus, and inclusion. A major highlight was the “Perfect Ball” painting session, where the children decorated basketballs with designs inspired by the values they learned throughout the day, combining artistic expression with the spirit of the game.
❤️ Stars Giving Back to the Community
Adding to the excitement, players from Belgrade’s top teams joined the event. Chima Moneke, Devonte Graham, and Stefan Miljenovic from Crvena Zvezda, along with Mario Nakic, Mitar Bosnjakovic, and Uros Mijailovic from Partizan, served as ambassadors. Chima Moneke shared his thoughts, saying, “Seeing the smiles on the kids’ faces and how they connect through creativity and teamwork—that’s what the sport is all about.” Mario Nakic added that such events help “show the next generation that basketball is not only about competition but about helping each other grow.”
🤝 A Partnership for a Good Cause
This initiative highlights a meaningful collaboration aimed at inspiring young people. Daniela Idi, Marketing Director at Motorola EMEA, explained the vision: “This initiative brings together technology, creativity, and sport to inspire children and strengthen local communities.” She noted that Serbia’s rich basketball history makes it the perfect place to launch the new season, demonstrating how innovation and teamwork can create a positive impact.
✨ Looking Ahead with a Special Gift
The event concluded on a high note with a special donation ceremony. The EuroLeague players helped hand out 100 basketballs and signed jerseys to all the young participants, creating lasting memories. The “Perfect Ball” created by the children will also be featured at an upcoming EuroLeague game in Belgrade, serving as a symbol of how basketball and creativity can unite and empower a community.
