Carlik Jones Ready to Prove His Place in EuroLeague

Partizan Belgrade guard Carlik Jones is heading into the new EuroLeague season with high hopes for himself and his team. After a strong first year in European basketball, he is determined to establish himself as one of the league’s elite players.

Last season, Jones put up impressive numbers, averaging 14.1 points, 5.4 assists, and 3.1 rebounds. Now, with a year of experience under his belt, he feels ready to take his performance to the next level and guide Partizan to greater success.

🎯 Aiming for the Top

Carlik Jones has a clear personal goal for the upcoming season: to prove he is one of the best guards in the EuroLeague. Rather than adding new moves to his game, he spent the summer focusing on improving what he already does well. “I want to show that I’m one of the best guards in the league, that’s my main goal,” Jones explained.

🤝 Understanding the System

A key part of Jones’s growing confidence comes from his better understanding of Coach Zeljko Obradovic’s system. He feels more comfortable on the court and appreciates the trust the legendary coach has in him. “The system is much clearer to me now… He gives me the freedom and trust to lead the team and make the right decisions,” Jones said, praising Obradovic’s demanding yet supportive coaching style.

📈 A Better Season Ahead

Partizan finished 12th last season with a 16-18 record, just missing the Play-In tournament. Jones and his team are determined to avoid a slow start this time around. He believes the team showed it can compete with anyone and is now focused on taking things one step at a time. “This season, our goal is not to repeat that start, but to focus on each game and each task, step by step,” he noted.
