Bayern Munich Adds Two New Players to Roster

Just before the start of the new EuroLeague and BBL seasons, Bayern Munich has strengthened its squad by signing two new players: American center David McCormack and Serbian forward Aleksa Radanov. This move is designed to provide much-needed support for the team as they deal with several player injuries and a demanding schedule right from the beginning.

The key reason for these signings is to add depth and manage the workload of the team’s main players. With some players recovering from injuries and others just returning from international duty, these new additions will help ensure the team remains competitive without overworking its stars.

🤝 A Timely Boost for the Team

Bayern Munich is getting ready for a challenging season opener, but the team isn’t at full strength. Key players like Jo Voigtmann and Elias Harris are in rehabilitation, while Rokas Jokubaitis is recovering from knee surgery. At the same time, other team members are only just rejoining training after playing for their national teams. According to Sporting Director Dragan Tarlac, signing McCormack and Radanov will provide immediate help for coach Gordon Herbert and allow injured players to recover without pressure.

💪 Meet David McCormack, the New Center

David McCormack, a 26-year-old and 2.08-meter tall center, brings valuable experience to the team. He was part of the Kansas Jayhawks team that won the NCAA championship in 2022. He is also familiar with German basketball, having previously played for Berlin in the BBL. McCormack has also played for several top clubs in Turkey and Italy, giving him a good understanding of European basketball. His strong presence in the paint will be a great asset for Bayern.

🏀 Aleksa Radanov Brings Versatility

Aleksa Radanov, a 27-year-old Serbian international, joins as a versatile forward. He is already familiar with Bayern’s system, having trained with the team as a guest player for several weeks. Radanov has a solid background in European leagues, having played for top Serbian club Red Star and recently winning a championship in Poland with Legia Warsaw. His experience and adaptability will make him a useful addition to the lineup.
