In a thrilling Basketball Champions League match, the French team Chalon pulled off an incredible comeback against Sabah. After being down by as many as 20 points, Chalon fought their way back into the game. With just nine seconds left on the clock, newcomer Jordan Tucker found himself open and calmly sank a three-pointer, giving his team a narrow 89-87 lead that would become the final score.
🌟 A New Star’s Instant Impact
Jordan Tucker, who joined Chalon just two weeks ago, has already become a hero for the team. His game-winning shot was the highlight of an outstanding performance. In just 21 minutes of play, he scored 23 points, making 5 of his 7 three-point attempts and converting 8 of 9 free throws. His performance has quickly shown that he will be a key player for Chalon for the rest of the season.
✈️ A Journey Through Basketball
Tucker’s path to professional basketball has been an interesting one. After high school, he attended the prestigious Duke University, where he had the chance to work with legendary coach Mike Krzyzewski. Although he only played two games at Duke, it was a valuable experience. He later transferred to Butler University for two years, where he averaged about nine points and four rebounds per game. After college, he entered the NBA draft but was not selected, leading him to explore other routes in his career.
🌍 Finding His Place in Europe
Before making his mark in France, Tucker spent time in the NBA G League, playing for affiliates of the Bulls and Knicks, among others. He first moved to Europe in 2022, playing for teams in North Macedonia and Bulgaria. He then played for French club Chorale Roanne last season. After a brief return to the US, Tucker started this season with a team in Lithuania before signing with Chalon in early November, where he is already making a huge difference.
💪 What Tucker Brings to the Team
Jordan Tucker’s greatest strength is his three-point shooting. He is an excellent spot-up shooter who can score from anywhere on the court, making him a difficult player for opponents to defend. At 201 cm (6'7"), he also has good size and a long wingspan for a forward, which helps him on defense and in grabbing rebounds. His impressive start with Chalon, capped by the game-winning shot, is a sign of great things to come.
