Igokea Signs Guard Ahmaad Rorie

Igokea m:tel has signed American guard Ahmaad Rorie, who is making a comeback to the Basketball Champions League. This move comes after the team’s starting playmaker, JeQuan Lewis, suffered an injury that will keep him off the court for an extended period.

👋 A New Face for the Team

Igokea recently announced the signing of 30-year-old guard Ahmaad Rorie. He is joining the team to fill the important point guard position left vacant by JeQuan Lewis, who is unfortunately sidelined with a long-term injury. This change brings a fresh but experienced player to the team’s lineup as they continue their season.

🏀 An Experienced Competitor

Rorie is no stranger to high-level European basketball. He has played 14 games in the Basketball Champions League with his former teams, Keravnos and SL Benfica, averaging 11.0 points and 4.5 assists in his most recent BCL season. The American guard has also built an impressive career playing in various countries, including Serbia, Germany, France, and Portugal, after his college basketball days with Montana and Oregon.

🎯 Facing a Tough Challenge

Rorie joins Igokea at a crucial time. The team currently has a 1-3 record in Group E of the BCL Regular Season and is in a tight race for a spot in the Play-Ins. Their next home games against Wurzburg and Galatasaray will be critical in deciding their fate. The team, led by coach Nenad Stefanovic, hopes Rorie’s addition will provide the boost they need to advance.

💪 Strong on the Home Front

While facing challenges in the BCL, Igokea has been performing very well in their regional ABA League. With a strong 4-1 record, they are currently tied for second place in their group, showing their strength and capability as a team.
