This win marks a positive start for Galatasaray in their BCL campaign. After reaching the final last season, the team is looking to build momentum early as they aim for the championship title once again.

The turning point of the match came right after the halftime break. Galatasaray, who were behind 43–45, came out strong and outscored Igokea 29–10 in the third period. This incredible run gave them a comfortable 72–55 lead, and they continued to build on it early in the final quarter, making it difficult for Igokea to catch up.

Fabian White Jr. was the star for Galatasaray, leading the team with an outstanding 26 points and 6 rebounds. He received strong support from James Palmer Jr., who added 18 points. The team’s experienced guards, Errick McCollum and Will Cummings, also made key contributions with 13 and 11 points, respectively, guiding the team to victory.

Despite the loss, Igokea put up a good fight, especially in the first half. Breein Tyree was their top scorer with 23 points, while Strahinja Gavrilović had a solid game with 18 points and 7 rebounds.
