The Basketball Champions League is buzzing with activity as teams make key signings for the new season. Italian club Pallacanestro Reggiana and Belgian side Filou Oostende have both welcomed new players, strengthening their lineups for the challenges ahead.

These moves show the teams’ ambitions to compete at a high level. Reggiana is bringing in an experienced center to strengthen its frontcourt, while Oostende is adding fresh talent to its guard positions, hoping to boost its scoring and playmaking.

🇮🇹 Reggiana Welcomes Jaime Echenique

Pallacanestro Reggiana has signed Colombian center Jaime Echenique to fill a key position. He is replacing Momo Faye, who has moved to Paris Basketball. Echenique, who comes from the Turkish team Aliaga Petkimspor, will be playing in Italy for the first time. Last season in the BCL, he averaged a solid 11.3 points and 4.9 rebounds per game. He will also represent his home country in the upcoming FIBA AmeriCup 2025.

🇧🇪 Oostende Strengthens Its Backcourt

Meanwhile, Filou Oostende from Belgium has added two new American guards. Silas Melson joins the team after playing for Darussafaka and MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg. He showed his scoring ability in the FIBA Europe Cup last season, averaging 9.5 points and 2.2 assists per game.

🏀 New Talent from the G-League

Joining Melson at Oostende is Aaron Estrada. He is coming from the NBA G-League, where he played for the Motor City Cruise. During his time there, he showcased his all-around skills, averaging 9.2 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 3.5 assists. This signing brings promising new energy to the Belgian team.
