
The tenth season of the Basketball Champions League kicked off with 16 exciting games, and five players have already stood out from the crowd. After an action-packed opening week, the BCL has announced its first Team of the Week, recognizing the top performers who led their teams to victory.
The selected players showcased a mix of clutch shooting, high efficiency, and all-around dominance. Their impressive statistics were crucial in securing important early-season wins for their respective clubs.
🎯 Guards Dominate the Backcourt
Brandon Jefferson was vital for Karditsa Iaponiki, scoring 23 points, including a game-winning three-pointer in overtime. The 33-year-old guard also added 5 assists and 4 rebounds. Meanwhile, Xavier Munford of Hapoel Netanel Holon put on a show with 26 points and 8 rebounds, hitting 5 of his 8 three-point attempts. His team was significantly better when he was on the court.
🔥 Forwards on Fire from Deep
Ryland Holt made a strong return to the BCL, helping NHSZ-Szolnoki Olajbanyasz secure a comfortable win. He scored 19 points in just 21 minutes, shooting an efficient 4-for-5 from beyond the arc. Similarly, Galatasaray’s new player Fabian White Jr. had a fantastic debut, scoring 26 points on 6-for-8 three-point shooting while also grabbing 6 rebounds.
💪 Blazevic Controls the Paint
Rounding out the team is Tofas Bursa’s center, Marek Blazevic, who has been in excellent form. He recorded an impressive double-double with 25 points and 12 rebounds. Blazevic’s strong presence inside was key to his team’s success, continuing his streak of high-scoring performances in recent games.
