Arturas Gudaitis of Rytas has been named the Player of the Week for the third week of the Basketball Champions League season. The Lithuanian center delivered an outstanding performance, leading his team to a decisive victory over Promitheas.
His impressive showing was a key factor in earning the award, which was decided by a popular fan vote. Gudaitis stood out among five top performers nominated for the honor.
💪 A Dominant Performance
In the game against Promitheas, Gudaitis was a force to be reckoned with. In just 23 minutes on the court, he scored 19 points, grabbed 7 rebounds, and added a steal and an assist. His strong play inside was crucial, as he effectively drew fouls and converted 11 of his 14 free throws, achieving an efficiency rating of 19 and paving the way for his team’s comfortable win.
❤️ Winning Over the Fans
The Player of the Week award is special because it is determined by the fans. Gudaitis was selected for the Team of the Week alongside four other talented players, but it was his performance that captured the most support in the public vote. This recognition highlights not only his skill on the court but also his connection with basketball fans.
📈 Rytas Looking Strong
Thanks to Gudaitis’s contribution, Rytas has improved its record to 2-1 in Group A, putting the team in a good position at the midway point of the Regular Season. The 32-year-old has been a consistent presence for the team, averaging 10.3 points and 6.3 rebounds over three games this season. Rytas will look to continue their momentum in their next match against MLP Academics Heidelberg on November 5.
