AEK Lands Chris Silva, Tenerife Adds Dylan Bordon

Basketball fans are buzzing with recent news from Europe, as two prominent clubs, AEK and Tenerife, have announced key additions to their rosters. These moves signal strong intentions for the upcoming seasons, including their participation in the Basketball Champions League (BCL). Both teams are looking to build competitive squads, with AEK bringing in an experienced center and Tenerife adding a promising young playmaker.

💪 Chris Silva Strengthens AEK’s Roster

AEK has officially welcomed Chris Silva, a 1996-born center known for his powerful play. Silva brings valuable experience, having previously played in the NBA, notably with the Miami Heat. Before joining AEK, he showcased his skills with Bnei Herzliya in Europe, where he averaged an impressive 15.1 points and 8.0 rebounds in the Israeli League. Despite his national team, Gabon, not qualifying for the FIBA AfroBasket 2025, Silva individually shined in the qualifiers, posting dominant averages of 25.0 points and 14.7 rebounds in three games. His arrival is expected to significantly boost AEK’s presence in the paint for both the Greek League and the BCL.

✨ Tenerife Adds Promising Playmaker Dylan Bordon

Meanwhile, Tenerife, a team that reached the Final Four of last year’s Basketball Champions League, has secured the services of Dylan Bordon. The 20-year-old Argentinian playmaker has signed a two-year deal and was previously with Gran Canaria. Bordon has also been actively representing Argentina on the international stage, featuring in the country’s preliminary roster for the FIBA AmeriCup 2025. He displayed his potential at the U19 World Cup in 2023, where he averaged 11.4 points. His addition is set to inject youthful energy and playmaking ability into Tenerife’s rotation.
